Dear Admin,
What is the way (in steps) to issue "inactive member command" through GUI not through STAAD(text) editor?
e.g. I have geometry defined and 3 load case. i want to have for each load case different member to be inactive. what are the steps?
Best Regards,
The following screenshot explains how to assign INACTIVE member specification using the GUI
If you have to define different set of inactive member specification for different load cases, you have to use the text editor and specify it the way shown below
An example model demonstrating the use of different INACTIVE members for different load cases, is attached for your reference.

Dear Sye,
Still I don't know how to have the order in issued command. All inactive sets will come on the top of command list and change and perform analysis at the end. How to insert them between Load cases, but from graphical input(GUI)?
Hi Ivan,
Sye clearly mentioned in his answer that "If you have to define different set of inactive member specification for different load cases, you have to use the text editor". So, Text Editor is the only way.

Hello sye,
i have used text editor and placed all my inactive members for different load cases accordingly followed by perform analysis and change command. I was not able to perform analysis. There is some error mentioning *** ERROR *** ABOVE COMMAND IS NOT RECOGNIZED. LINE IGNORED.
Thank you.
