  • Hi Nageshwar,

If your plate girder is of standard shape like a I section, then you can use the Create user table option from the TOOLS menu of STAAD.Pro.  Alternatively if your plate girder is of non standard shape or having some stiffeners in cross section then you can use the STAAD.Pro - Tools menu - Section Wizard - Section Builder - to create the cross section of your plate girder and then use the File menu in Section Wizard - Export to STAAD.Pro -  General Section - Save as a UPT file.  Then use the Tools menu - Create User table - New Table - tick Use External Table - Browse and select the already saved UPT file - select General section at the bottom drop down menu and save it.   Then from the Properties page use the User Table option to select and assign this user section.

I would also suggest you to go through the  STAAD.Pro - Help menu - Contents -

    1) Technical Reference manual section 5.19.

    2)  Additional Modules - Section Wzard.

    3) Application Examples - 17 User-Provided Tables.

    Hope this helps.
