Hi there,
I am getting the 'Analyze Error 4' and cannot fix it. I have referred to a previous post where the response linked to another thread talking about meshing which I have looked at. I have reviewed my RAM concept model mesh and changed the outline to line up then re-imported and tried to analyse but I get the same error. I am getting gravity loads associated with floors that are not linked to any diaphragm.
Is updating to the latest version, 15.04, an option for you? In that version we have some improvements in the meshing that seem to make the difference here. Ram Frame v15.04 warns about some mesh elements that are being eliminated, in a dialog like this:
Despite these warnings, the analysis runs and the resulting mesh looks OK. The deflected shape looks OK too. I would recommend a somewhat smaller mesh than the 1.5 m default you had, however.
I presume these issues are a result of some round-off as data was imported from Ram Concept into a fresh Ram Modeler layout. I can visually see some slab edges that are not quite aligned to the global axis, and when I show the coordinates of the slab edges to 4 decimals I see some lines that are barely off vertical.
Fixing those deviations could be very tricky.
For more information see:
I'm checking it in v14.07. I can get it to run through Ram Frame analysis, but Ram Concrete is stopping.
Karl found that the surface load polygon selected below on L1 is causing the problem. I think there is a snap issue with the slab edge or a deck nearby. If I delete it, then the model runs in RAM Concrete.
