When attempting to run code check of steel in RAM Frame module, RAM crashes. Computer prompts "RAMContainer MFC Application has stopped working"
You might have to send the file, but here are a few things to check.
1. In the analysis mode, are the member forces reasonable (i.e. not junk values)? You can also review deflected shape. If the analysis results are junk, that accounts for the crash, and then we have to evaluate if the meshed model has any geometric problems or instabilities to cause the bad results.
2. If the analysis results are all OK, then check just one member using the code check report. If some members are OK, but others cause a crash that's a good clue.
(use the Secure File upload process to upload files for us to review)
If the applied loads are OK, but member forces are very large, I suspect some extreme P-Delta effect. If the applied loads are also very large, then if it's a semi-rigid diaphragm, test it with a rigid assumption. If the forces go way down then there might be a problem with edge detection which we rely on for wind loads.
If you are using 15.03 it might be this issue: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/31109/incorrect-foundation-loads-under-multi-story-braces
