Different for assigning seismic weight?

What should be the procedure to assign seismic weight as reference load? What is the benefit of defining mass as seismic load and Joint weight as seismic load

Hi, 
 In the latest version of STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition (22.01.00.39), you only need to add the loads under "Reference Load Definition" with loading type as "mass". You can add any of your desired load. When mass reference load case is present. it will be automatically considered in the seismic analysis. You do not need to add the seismic weights separately under the seismic definition. 
 You don't need to separately provide joint load or member load. Put all the loads under mass reference load case that is contributing the seismic weight in your structure.When reference load is added, it can be used in any primary load case using the repeat load option.
