In our last version of Staad V8i, serie 6, version 20.07.11.82, we can't make a checkcode for back-to-back channel section. In older version, we used to make checkcode for these section without any problem.
Do you have any solutions about that?
Thanks in advance
Which design code are you trying to use?
I'm trying to use AISC LRFD (or LRFD shortly) to check. I tried one more time with AISC 360-05 with Method LRFD but it did not work either.
You can take the beam #2647 for example.
Please find here the .ANL from SS5 analysisFrame_check_AISC_360-05-LRFD-SS5-ANL.rar
I see that beam 2647 is passing with ratio 0.889 in STAAD.Pro build 20.07.11.90, so I would recommend you to upgrade to STAAD.Pro V8i build 20.07.11.90 or STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition (21.00.00.57)
Thank for reply.
- Please confirm there is a bug in checkcode with Staad pro Serie 6, 20.07.11.82
- Please indicate the step to upgrade to Staad.pro Ver. 20.07.11.90 to fix the bug.
Thank in advance
I think that slenderness ratio for this section was incorrectly reported in build 20.07.11.82 and was reported as critical section. This issue seems to be fixed in build 20.07.11.90.
STAAD.Pro latest versions as well as any other Bentley software can be downloaded from here: https://select.bentley.com/FulfillmentCenter/en/
Thank you Modestas.
There was a problem in the calculated KLR in version 20.70.11.82. The value issued was strange.
Thanks for the link but I've not acces to this service :
"Sorry, you do not have access to SELECT support services.
Your account is not associated with a SELECT site entitlement."
Only the users with SELECT subscription are entitled to download latest versions of the software. Does your company has such subscription? If yes, the site administrator of the company should have download permissions, so you may contact that person and ask to download STAAD.Pro or provide you with download rights.

Thank you very much. I'll see with him. We have many liscences and use Staad everyday. To upgrate all computers, we have to discuss all together before the kick-off installation.
