EtabsMeshToRamConcept.zip
This software will transfer Etabs floor directly to RAM Concept. First to export etabs file to e2k format. Then use the exporter to export to GFCC format which can be imported to RAM Concept by File << SYNC STAAD << NEW GFCC file command. Please share your opinion of report me any bugs.
We have something similar here: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/36251/updated----ram-concept-safe-etabs-link
Please let us know what advantages you see in one vs the other.
Hi Seth
First of all you don't have to export anything to SAFE. My code can directly transfer from e2k file. Therefore if you have 100 floors you can transfer all of them in one click. Also If you have element ID name with space my program can treat them correctly. I'm also adding more features like apply uniform loadsets to shell elements, export back the mesh to etabs, API connectivity so that information transfer to RAM directly from ETABS. Also my program runs fast compare to yours.
Impressive. I don't happen to have any e2k files handy in order to test it, but will when I can find one. Does it also require ETABS to be installed?
Hi Faroque,
i am trying to model a post tension foundation, the structure has been modeled in ETABS 9.7.4. i tried to use the RAMconcept Safe converter but when i import the f2k file in to RAM Concept there is nothing i can do, i mean the loads are disappeared which obviously are the most critical parts for designing a foundation,
i'd appreciate if you have any further information to help me solve the issue.
best
