I have been attempting to analyze a mat foundation and design the slab but have been having issues with either the program crashing when trying to define an envelope or designing the slab itself and not getting results for rebar design. These issues usually cause the program to crash most of the time. I am only running 12 load combinations and have 27 column reactions. I'm attaching the file with the secure ftp site. Currently using v.8.2.0.31.
Russell : I do see the supports and loads but I don't see any mat boundary or any mat job defined in the file. Can you please check if you uploaded the correct file or not ?
That was another issue that has been happening that I forgot to mention. Once I run the initial analysis and try to go on to the moment envelope and the program crashes everything that I have entered is deleted and I would have to re-enter it. I did finally get it to work and got my results. I will resend the zipped file that should have all the data and calculations for the mat.
Ok good to hear that you got it working. As a general recommendation, please ensure that you save the file and close it and reopen it before getting to the moment envelope generation/design part. That worked for a user I was talking to and who had a similar type of issue. In fact I would suggest that you save the file at each step so that the work is not wiped out in the event of a software crash.
