Just to illustrate my point: in my model I am looking at nodes 1-7 support reactions. I would expect node 2 and 7 to have the same dead load and snow loads. The truss is carrying the same tributary width of roof snow yet the support reactions do not match up.
Another issue I have is the building columns seem to be taking some of the crane loads yet the columns are separate from each other and only connected through shear connected bracing points.
Is there something I am overlooking?
I would expect different reactions from dead and snow load cases for supports 2 and 7 as the structure is not symmetrical On one side it has 6 supports, while on the other side - 8. So it is expected that support #7 will take more dead load compared to support #2.
In regards to the crane loads, which column and which load case are you talking about?
I see the number of supports, correct.
For the crane column specifically node 1 and 71. The snow load case.
It seems that I am not understanding the issue with column loads well. You are saying that columns are taking some crane loads, but in the Snow Load Case, I do not see any crane loads. Could you please elaborate this issue in more details? Some screenshots illustrating the issue could help to understand it better.
I have fixed my issue, I have simply merged the nodes together and created offsets for the columns so that there is only one support.
