In the STAAD.Pro help (1H.4.1 Example), when I copy & paste the parameters it gives me this error ( *** ERROR *** ABOVE COMMAND IS NOT RECOGNIZED. LINE IGNORED.) because of the SELECT parameter.
When I deleted it it worked but only for ALCLAD value 1.
Also the output design units are imperial. Can it be changed to SI units and how?
The code has a problem because the ALCLAD and STRUCT parameters has been directly used after the SELECT ALL command. You can do either of the following.
a. You can add the commands PARAMETER and CODE ALUMINUM command again after the SELECT ALL command as shown next
PRODUCT 2 ALLTRACK 3 ALLSELECT ALLPARAMETERCODE ALUMINUMALCLAD 1 ALLSTRUCT 1 ALLCHECK CODE ALL
b. You can move the ALCLAD and STRUCT parameters ahead of the SELECT ALL command
ALCLAD can be 0 or 1 but you need to use a valid combination of material, alloy, product, weld etc. You can find more details at
https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/29184/while-performing-design-per-the-us-aluminum-code-i-encounter-an-error-message-product-name-could-not-be-matched-what-does-it-mean
As of now the output units for Aluminum Design per the US code can be in English only.

Thanks Sye. Please make sure to change it in the STAAD.Pro Help manual.
Yes will do. A defect# 797912 has been posted and the documentation will be revised.
Thanks again.
