I am modeling conventionally reinforced 2-way slabs for my building in Concept and I am attempting to make changes to the load combinations, on/off load pattern factors, and for my roof slab I am attempting to changing the load combinations used in the load history to be for dead + roof LL in lieu of the default D+L. Everything works fine, but after I save and close out of my model everything reverts back tot he default setting when I re-open my model. Please help. It is very time consuming to have to make these changes every time I re-open the model and I fear I may miss something the next time I have to re-do these parameters.
Are you launching Ram Concept from RAM Structural Systems - Ram Manager? If so, this will happen (load combinations regenerated). To avoid that, you can separate the Ram Concept file from the RAM Structural System model as documented here: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/7381/unlinking-ram-concept-files-from-ram-ss and only update the model geometry (if that ever changes).
Seth, it would be very useful to be able to save custom load combinations while still having the file linked to RAM SS. It takes awhile to set up custom combinations. It's also very nice to have the RAM ConcePT file linked to RAM SS so that you can quickly capture geometry & loading changes. Could you put this on your list of things to look at?
Understood. It's been requested before, but there are some challenges. Reference: 278282:Custom Load Combinations Defined in RAM Concept Cleared When Importing Loads from RAM SS
