hi sir, i would like to concern my staad file, beams cannot be designed as special frame in ductile design, they all fail. i wonder why it cannot be designed as special in ductile design. i have posted my staad file in RAM STAAD FORUM sir, you can search it "Members fail in ductile design" .. this is the name of my post.. i will appreciate it if you will take time to check my file

You can actually use STAAD Advanced Concrete Design ( requires a separate license than STAAD.Pro ) which has the chapter 21 implemented.

Ductility detailing requirements of ACI 318-11 is not implemented in STAAD.Pro.
