I have a model of a portal frame that is linked a to a revit model using structural synchronizer. The structure is a substructure, this section of the building is at 10deg to the main structure. Therefore my model does not align with the global axis. When i defined the wind loads, they are aligned to the global axis. it is possible to align the wind load perpendicular to the wall without rotating the structure? I suppose a work around is to resolve the wind pressure coefficient into X and Y components. Is there a better solution?
The automatic wind load generation can only generate wind loading along the global directions. So your best bet would be to define two wind types each with a different basic wind speed for the two orthogonal global directions which would basically be components of the inclined wind.
