I have assigned profiles to members, i.e. members 1 to 10 W8x15. I also designate material, elasticity content for W8x15. This syntax, when written in input, will show something like 1 to 10 W8x15. After I saved and closed the file, it should be this setting. But when I opened the file, the software detects that members were not assigned. Then it even assigned "....1 W8x15, 2 W8x15, 3 W8x15..." for a total of 10 profiles. Also, it even sends error messages that elasticity were not designated. Can someone provide information on why is this occurring to my STAAD file? Appreciate for any response.
Which STAAD.Pro version are you using? Would you be able to attach the related STAAD.Pro model?
PROP-06390-1 rev 5.stdSTAAD.Pro V8i SS6
The commands in the input file are written in the expanded list. To avoid this, go to Configuration -> Input/Output File Format in the start-up page in STAAD.Pro and uncheck the box next to the 'Write Expanded Lits' option. Now commands wich will be added, will be written in usual format instead of expanded list. Does this resolve the issue?
I'll will try and get back to you later.
