Is there a way to change the background color for RAM Elements to white instead of the normal blue color?
I routinely change the background color from dark blue to white and back to blue again. I do this so that I can make a screenshot of selected portions of my model with the white background to annotate my calculations. Microsoft Snip & Sketch makes it easy to paste it in a spreadsheet, Word document or pdf. However, I have to work with the blue background because the white background is hard on my eyes and I have to change it back to blue. Using the Output/Save 3D view is not a good option either. It can work, but it is rather clunky.
To change the background color, go to File/Settings/General Configuration/Display. You have 3 Color themes Dark (blue), Light (white) and Black.
If you only need to change this one time and forget it, then it is no problem. But for me, that is 6 clicks to change it and 6 clicks to change it back for each screenshot. I would like to suggest to the Bentley Ram Elements team, "Please put a Color Theme button in plain view to make it easy to toggle back and forth".
thanks
Correct. You can change object colors (pen colors) and when you print graphics you can change the background to white (or a color of your choice), but the background screen is always black.
Is that also true for RAM Structural Systems, specifically RAM Frame?
Regretfully no, this is not a user setting.
