Single concrete pile foundation system

Few points

1. Single pile is only for situations where column is concentric with pile
2. Pile cap size is usually governed by edge distance requirements/anchorage requirements/project specifications
3. Usually minimum reinforcement is provided
4. Always better to have these pile caps connected through tie beams

Practicing engineers may have more inputs

The pile is cast in place concrete pile and the columns will support an equipment or even a framed building.

According with the CRSI and NEN, the minimum pile arrangement for a pile cap is 2 piles, I'm looking for a Code / Norm / Publication / Investigation that indicates that it is correct the use of only 1 pile.

Or if it is safe enough to use grade beams to link every pile and set the equipment / building on top of the piles.
