My RAM SS model looks and runs just fine in RAM Steel, RAM Frame, and RAM Foundation, but when I open it in RAM Connection the framing looks like pick-up sticks. What's happening!
This is a new issue with version 12 for Ram Structural System models when changes are made. See this for details and options: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/38689/ram-model-changes-corrupt-ram-connection-geometry
When I delete the .rcnx file will it delete all my current connections?
In my testing the connections were still there, but I have mostly tested this in files that were converted up from an older version and I expect that the most recent changes in the connections would be lost. We will try to get an update out soon to solve the underlying problem.
It doesn't look like there's an .rcnx file located in the zip file. There's an .rcsx file, which I deleted, but it didn't fix the framing in RAM Connection. It looks like I'll need to revert to the old Connection version.
It is the .rcsx file that needs to be removed. My error. If you can't fix it by removing the .rcsx file from the working directory (or zip file), then I would need to look at that case more closely. If you can reply back with the file or use Secure File Upload I'll take a look.
The file should be uploaded via the secure file upload, thanks for the help!
I got your model, but it's working fine for me with RAM SS 15.08. It did get converted in that process, and that might have been the thing that fixed it, however. I would probably still suggest reverting Ram Connection.
I could have sworn I was on the latest version...but yes I upgraded and it's working now. Thank you again!!
