model take time while analysis OR hang.

Dear sir

while analyse file got hang. 

please check any mistake done by me.& how to resolve this,

please suggest.Shead-26-06-2018-Windload.std

  • Here are a few observations 

    1. The structure should be specified as a space frame as opposed to a truss.
    2. The structure is not stable against lateral loads applied in the Z because of all the TRUSS specifications, Pinned supports and member releases. I changed the member releases to partial.
    3. There are some joints like 665 where all the connected members are specified as TRUSSes. So any out of plane loads ( in Z ) would cause instability at those joints. Hence you may want to avoid declaring members like 1278 and 1312 as TRUSS and instead release MZ moment at start of member 1278 and at the end of member 1312. Similar corrections need to done at other locations.
    4. There is a redundant PERFORM ANALYSIS command that should be taken out.
    5. You should use the LOAD LIST ENV 1 2 command before the design to ensure that the envelopes are considered for design.

    A partly modified file is attached. You will need to make further changes as suggested under point 3.Shead-26-06-2018-Windload_rev.std
