Dear All,
Im learner of staad pro, Im analysing mezzanine floor by considering all loads. But when im trying to apply wind load, it is showing some errors... Like floor diaphragm must defined before wind load & then it is show master slave is required.... I do the changes by searching in communities but however im not able to rectify. Now it is showing error in support & spring...
I attached the staad file, can anyone help me out in applying the wind load without error in yz direction only.
Hope I cleared my doubts. Thanks in advance.

The error was due to the fact that support nodes 3 and 7 were specified as slave nodes. I think you intended to specify the diaphragm at the top and in the XZ plane but ended up specifying it in the YZ. I have modified the master slave with node 19 as the master node as it is more central to the diaphragm compared to node 11. A modified file is attached for your reference.

Dear Mr. Sye,
Thank soo much for your quick reply, please clarify the below:
1. I run the program, its show some note about floor diaphragm (image attached). And just to see the wind load effect on column, I increased the wind load factor to 4 and run the program, But the result shows no changes in column ratio.
2. Again I increased the wind speed from 100 mph to 150 mph, still there is no changes in column ratio. So it means no force acting on column due to wind load.
Please explain and correct the attached file.
Thanks in advance

Wind load seems to be applied correctly on the structure. To check an effect of different wind load values you should be looking at the Beam End Forces details. In the utilization table the critical load case is LC100 which does not have wind load included, hence you do not see variation in the utilization ratios.
For the Note, please check this Forum post: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/f/ram-staad-forum/148042/wind-load-definition/450533#450533
Dear,
Thanks its really helpful....
My final doubts related to this topic, is it possible to apply wind load only for the column by this method, because now wind load is acting on both column & beam?? Or we have to apply only by using UDL method...
If you just need to load the columns only, it would be best to apply the loading directly as udl on those members.
