Dear Sir,
The members which are defined as truss also gives the warning of MOMENT AMPLIFICATION FACTORS KY OR KZ IS GREATER THAN 1.4.
But the code specifies the check as per 9.3.2.2 for combined bending and axial compression case. As the bending moment in the truss member is 0, why does STAAD throw this warning.
How to address these warnings? The members still show as pass in the outpur. Is it ok to ignore these warnings?
Please go through the attached wiki for solution.

That was already referred to. But why should be the check for combined axial and bending to be done when the member is a truss. The check for the axial strength as per 7.1.2 is sufficient and that clause does not refer to 9.3.2.2 for magnification of moment.
Pls clarify.
You can ignore that for this case.
Hello Abhishek, with reference to above query could you please clarify-
1) Why Truss members are showing Moment amplification WARNING even if the member is not subjected to Moment loadings.
2) Can we strengthen the relevant Member (having Moment and Loadings) to eliminate this warning instead of performing P delta analysis.
