&lt;p&gt;To anyone who may find this post, I have experimented and found how to make a total load / live load deflection check separate.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This checks the total load L/360 limit first, sizes the member, then checks the sized member against live load L/480 limit&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

Also I have commented out a few redundant PARAMETER and CODE CANADIAN commands to clean up the file.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In addition,&amp;nbsp;when you do a SELECT you should group members and do a reanalysis followed by a CHECK CODE. A modified file is attached for your reference.&lt;/p&gt;
