Hi,
I would like to know what the headers of the Strip Forces Tables mean, I looked into the manual but I couldn't find the meaning of the abbreviation
Also, it is not clear which of these Max/Min M or V is used to calculate reinforcement for a section of the strip.
Where can I find out the design strip forces used for the calculation of As T./B and As V Spcg in the below Design Status: Span Design Table?
I can' understand the meaning of the highlighted abbreviation:
Is there any document where I can find out these questions?
Thanks,
The program works with the envelope of results, e.g. the Maximum Moment and the Minimum Moment, the Maximum Shear and the Minimum Shear... The abbreviations for that are all n section "40.12.4 Envelopes" or in "52.9.2 Envelope results". In the design table As=Area of Steel, T=Top, Dev= Developed, B=Bottom, As V = Area of shear reinforcing... The Control is the controlling code section.
For more on Developed (Dev) see "31.6.2 About skyline plots"
For Shear reinforcement we can plot the area of steel required based on density or on max spacing conditions, see "32.3 About the information displayed by the Auditor" for a bit more on that.
