Hello,
How can I do a P-Delta Analysis using spectrum response load? In order to do modal-spectral seismic analysis.
I read a question about tension/compresion members can not be used with spectrum response load, so it means that a meber tension can not be used too, is my understanding correct?
Thanks in advance
Pdelta and Response Spectrum do not go well together. The following wiki explains why

An approximate way to account for dynamic effects in a pdelta analysis has been outlined by Raymond Curtis is his post below which you may refer to for guidance

Yes tension/compression cannot be used with response spectrum. The iterative Pdelta analysis in STAAD.Pro allows tension/compression though.
