Hey what should be the spring angle for an area spring while designing the mat foundation? What is the significance of spring angle?

An area spring has an orientation. The default is 0 degrees, so the R axis runs left to right and the S axis runs north to south on screen. The spring then has an R and S axis resistance that relate to the area spring local axis. Most soils are linear in the two directions, so I seldom see anything but 0 angle area springs with equal R and S resistance.
