Hi - Once the cable spec is created it be assigned as follows.

        Dim BeamNo As Long
        Dim SpecNo As Long

        ' new spec ID is stored in the variable SpecNo	
        SpecNo = objOpenStaad.Property.CreateMemberCableSpec (0, 4.5)

        ' as example, i'm assigning  the cable spec to member #310
