Is there any way to assign moment force in the plate? I'm currently designing the grade slab for equipment. I simplify the moment occur by the equipment as a percentage of equipment weight. But, I cant find the tools to input moment in the plate. I can convert that moment as couple forces but it's quite tidy work. That's why I ask this question. Hope somebody can help me.Thank you.
I assume this questions is related to STAAD.Pro. I don't think that you can apply a moment directly on the plate. One of the options is using the couple of forces as you said. The other option would be to mesh the plate so that the node where the moment is applied would exist and then apply that moment as a nodal moment.
