To whom it may concern,
Sir regarding utilization ratio there are 3 colors namely green, blue and red.
for i know the green is below the allowable ratio
red is failed
what is blue? is it half accept and half fail? depend on the engineer?
Regards,
Manuel
By default the color coding for the utilization ratios is such:
0 to 1 - green; 1 to 1.5 - blue, above 1.5 - red.
However, you may modify these color coding limits as per your requirement. To do that, right click on your screen and go to Structure Diagrams -> Design Results.

Thanks for the info i thought when its blue its still acceptable.
Any utilization ratio above 1 is considered as a failure. So as per the default color settings, anything in green passes while anything in blue or red fails the design check. As Modestas explained, as per the default color settings in STAAD.Pro, blue represents a failure range between 1 to 1.5. Red indicates a higher level of failure with utilization ratio > 1.5. You can set utilization ratio ranges as per your wish and associate appropriate colors to those ranges. Whether utilization ratio values slightly > 1 is acceptable or not, is entirely at the discretion of the engineer in charge.
can I define the utilization ratio to 2 and make the failing sections as pass in report, by doing so is it any harm am doing for the structure integrity and it's Strength
What is the reason for utilization coming as infinity
