When using the physical modeller, I would like to have vertical and horizontal bracing to not be connected to every member that it crosses. When I transfer to the analytical model, STAAD adds nodes there and there's no way for me to release it because geometry / specifications are locked in analytical. How do I get around this? As there is no Truss specification in the physical modeller I cannot properly assign releases to the physical model when it splits the member like this. I would have thought that STAAD would only connect members where I have specified a node there; if there is no node there I would have expected STAAD to not connect them analytically.
