Hey I'm trying to apply a moment line load (kips). I want to how does the program interpret it ? Or can I just apply a point moment (kip-ft)? Whats the difference between those two?
Also, the moment I have is for the basement wall that is 220' long, so is it recommended to apply a moment as a line load ? or simply a point moment?

A line load with moment has no length units, but it helps to think of it like "kip * feet / feet (or any other length units). All loads in Concept are internally translated to the nodes of the mesh, but the user does not really need to see the resulting nodal loads. For a long load I would use a line load. To concentrate a long force to a single point seems less accurate, even where there is a wall to help redistribute it.
Thank you Seth! So basically I can divide the point moment on the wall by the length of the wall which gives me the line load with moment (kip*ft/ft) and apply to the wall.
For example if the moment is 10000 kip-ft and the length of the wall is 100 ft. The line load with moment would be 100 kips (kip*ft/ft) ? Am I correct?
That math looks correct to me.
