Is it appropriate to design vessel foundation using the Plant Foundation module when both ACI and ASCE design codes that were used are obsolete?
Please use the latest version of STAAD Foundation Advanced ( version# 09.00.00.09). The ACI 318-14 code has been incorporated into it.
Is the latest ASCE 7 code incorporated as well?
Not yet but it will be in the near future. For now you can always change the load combination factors if you need to.
Please note that latest version of STAAD Foundation Advanced (version 9.4.0.20) can generate load combinations as per PIP STC01015/ASCE 7-10 code. Please refer the attached screenshot.
