I am trying to model a slab spanning across two building pads, separated by an expansion joint. The expansion joint is situated on top of the grade beam, supported by piles. Is there a way to model the expansion joint in RAM Concept?

If I model a thin strip of slab with a very low axial stiffness, what would your recommendation be when it comes to laying out the design strips over the column support ( below) in that region? Should I span the latitude and longitude strips across that thin strip of slab or should I stop them at the slab boundary? I am not entirely sure if I can stop the longitudinal strips at the boundary. This was the same issue, when I tried to model them as two separate slabs with just grade beam separating them. But the strips generated span across the region between the two slabs. Please help me out on this!
P.S. I am modeling a Reinforced concrete slab with expansion joint between the slabs.
I would stop and restart the design strips leaving a gap, again similar to the pour strip recommendations.
