Hello,
I've imported a mat foundation from STAAD.Pro and set up a new mat analysis/design job in SFA. Everything works fine until I analyze the foundation. Each time I hit analyze the program crashes. It successfully analyzes the mat and I get to the mat output but then the program crashes. I try to open the file again and the program crashes again.
I've ran the example problems just fine and everything works but it continues to crash with a mat foundation from a STAAD import.
I've attached the files for reference.
Please advise.

You have written that you have imported a mat foundation from STAAD.Pro. Did you do that using the "Import Plates" option? Or did you import the column support locations and create a mat around them?
If you have used the "Import Plates" method, please have a look at the procedure described here.
The attached document contains a more elaborate version of that information.

The file I uploaded did not use the "Import Plates" method. My understanding is that the "Import Plates" method limits the amount of post analysis tools you can use so that is why I did not select it. Have you tried to run or open the files I uploaded? Everything runs completely fine until I analyze for the first time. Once I analyze the mat the program crashes and the program keeps crashing every time I try to open the file again.
We too encounter the crash when the program attempts to open the model you attached. Our developers are looking into it.
In the folder where mat.sfa is located, you will find the previous versions of the file with the names
mat.sfa.backup
and
mat.sfa.backup_2
Can you attach those?
One more valuable input from you would be if you could attach the STAAD.Pro model from which you imported the support reactions + column data. We can create a mat for that and see if we can reproduce the error.
Attached is the original STAAD.Pro model that the SFA mat was created from. The backup file is not uploading correctly. Is there an email address I can send it to?
5430.STAAD Model.std
Try Zipping it before uploading it. If that doesn't work, can you try the Secure File Upload method?
In the meanwhile, we are investigating the matter using the STAAD model you have attached (thanks for that).
