Dear Seth,
In the ACI 318-11, the effective flange width was taken the smallest of three limitations (Section 8.12) . The first one is limited to 1/4 of the span length, which means that if we have a span of 4 m and wide beam of 1.2 m width the effective flange width will be 1 m less than the web width. This is also done exactly by Ram Concept for this situation.
In the ACI 318-14, the effective flange width was taken the smallest of three limitations (Section 6.3.2) . The same condition was changed to web width plus 1/8 of the span length from each side of the web (bw+L/4 - in total), which means that if we have a span of 4 m and wide beam of 1.2 m width the effective flange width will be (1.2+1=2.2 m) . This is NOT done by Ram Concept according to ACI 318-14 for this situation. Ram Concept still determining the same flange width as ACI 318-11.
Is it right ? or I have to edit the design strip manually to satisfy the ACI 318-14?
Thank You again for Your help.

You can confirm this with a test case but it looks like all the ACI codes do the same thing. Column strip boundary poly-lines can always be used to establish the desired strip width.

Please update to the current version of the program (v07.01.00). We corrected the effective flange width calculation for ACI 318-14 to reflect the change that you noted in v07.00.00.
