Hi,
I am using STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition V22. The concrete structure was original modelled in revit 2018 and transferred to Staad through ISM. When the solver is run, I receive a error message ' ***ERROR*** WRONG STRENGTH PARAMETER PROVIDED'. Attached is a PDF of the .anl file and the Staad file.
PDF LEVEL 4 ONLY.STD
Please look into material definition. Material definition is not right. Please reassign material definition to overcome the error. Also, the plate elements need to be provided thickness value. Put Perform Analysis command before Finish. Except the above, there are some connectivity issue in your file. please check and change accordingly.
Thank you Abhisek, I dont understand why the material definition is not right. I am an amatuer at finite modelling as well as using Staad pro. So any further detail you can give into why it is not right would be helpful so I can move forward with this model.
Thank you in advance.
I am not sure how you got this material definition. Anyway, you have used Rt & Ry strength parameters in material definition for Concrete type and that is not correct. You will only use these parameters for Steel type.
It was already Staad pro. pre defined material called concrete, see images below.
Hello Mathew,
Did you get an answer to your question? the same problem I am experiencing currently with my model.
Open the file in the editor and replace the following block of lines
