Hi everyone,
I'm a novice designer. I'm designing a building as per is 13920 2016 in staad pro but getting many errors/warnings mentioned below, hope I will get solutions to them
1. ERROR: THE AXIAL STRESS ON MEMBER # 246 DESIGNED AS BEAM EXCEEDS 0.08FCK (what should I do to remove these errors)
2. WARNING: DEPTH OF BEAM # 134 SHALL PREFERABLY BE LESS THAN THE 1/4TH OF CLEAR SPAN ASSUMING IT TO BE SPANNING BETWEEN SUPPORTS.if NOT, USE COMBINE PARAMETER.
(I read about COMBINE parameter but to apply it on all subdivided beams is a tedious task, is there any alternative to this)
3. ERROR: MINIMUM DIMENSION OF COLUMN # 1014 SHOULD NOT BE LESS THAN 20 TIMES THE DIAMETER.........
(I this case i used maxmain parameter set to 20 mm dia. for all beams(earlier I put design column command before design beam command and it shows this error for all columns but even after putting design beam command above design column it still shows few columns with this error)
4. NOTE: SOME OF THE BEAMS CONNECTED TO THE COLUMN NO. 2026 ARE NOT DESIGNED. ONLY SHEAR FORCE FROM ANALYSIS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SHEAR DESIGN.
(in this case i checked for few columns with this note and found that all beams connected to columns are designed as oppposite to statement in above note.)
5. WARNING: CHECK FOR MINIMUM DIMENSION OF COLUMN # 2030 IS IGNORED AS PERCL 7.1.1 a) OF IS-13920:2016. SOME OF THE BEAMS CONNECTED TO THE COLUMN ARE NOT DESIGNED.
(here the check for minimun dimension of column is ignored why???)
6. does staad design for under reinforced section or balanced section?
7. i attached the code, please review it and suggest me any modification or changes or mistakes done by me.
