I am trying to apply a floor load but I have significate opening in each floor and I am trying to specify this area as an opeing but with no success.
If anyone knows how to do this can they let me know.

I have created a sample .std file to explain the process that you can use to achieve your requirement. In the attached file, there is a simple floor. I have created two floor groups in such a way that the opening portion is excluded from the groups. The floor groups are created using the following commands. START GROUP DEFINITION FLOOR _1ST_PART 1 2 4 TO 6 8 9 11 12 15 16 18 TO 20 22 23 _2ND_PART 3 6 7 10 13 14 17 20 21 24 END GROUP DEFINITION
I have applied floor load to those groups. LOAD 1 FLOOR LOAD _1ST_PART FLOAD -4 GY _2ND_PART FLOAD -4 GY
This process excludes the opening for the floor load generation. Please refer to attached a1.jpg file
