good day,
I design the attached structure in two ways. when I design it without considering the concrete plate it gives very less utilization ratio? and when I design it without considering the concrete plates on the top of beam it is getting the failure. Kindly advice me which way is better .should I consider the concrete plate on top of the beam or not?

If the slab is on the structure, I think it should be modeled in STAAD.Pro as well.

my structure having 200mm concrete slab on the top .should i consider the plates or not?with concrete plates my design is ok or not?kindly advice.
Plates provide some additional stiffness to the structure so it is expected the that the deflection and utilization ratios are lower.
