I am learning RAM Concept. In section 5.2 of the manual, it says to hit the escape key to cancel what is drawn. When I draw columns and then hit escape, nothing happens. Do I need to do something to my keyboard or mouse? Thank-you.
This pertains to a polygon drawing, e.g. a slab edge. esc will cancel the whole polygon to that point. You can also right click to get close, cancel last point, cancel all (cancel all is the same as esc). For single click items like columns there is nothing to escape from, but undo still works.

I may not have asked the question correctly (!). When I insert columns, I can just keep repeating the command by clicking various locations. When I am done, it seems the command is still active. Do I just click on another icon to get out of the "insert column" command? I had assumed that ESC would do the trick.
Yes, just select some other tool to start something new.
Thank-you.
