kindly help me for getting mode shape option visible/ on in staad pr.
attached is model for referance.Skywalk-04062019-(LSD)-3 (Builup section).std
The mode shape option is not visible as there are no cases in which modal calculation requested command has been used or there are no dynamic load cases ( response spectrum or time history). You may add any of these to get the mode shapes. You may refer to the example 28 to see how a load case is set up for modal calculation.
However the model has stability issues that you will need to address. Here are some suggestions
The bottom and top chord members should not be declared as TRUSS. You may take out the MX release as those are not realistic releases.
You would also need to remove TRUSS specifications for the vertical members connecting the top and bottom chords. Also your moment releases need to be changed too. If you look at the node 531 for example, all beams connecting to that node in both X and Z directions have moment releases. You need to apply release to the beams in one direction only ( to the secondary beams ).
Thank you for Support.
if i removed Truss Specification to vertical member then Member Utility ratio around 52200.
while specified as truss it get <1 (Unity).
please clarify if any wrong way im going.Skywalk-05062019-(LSD)-3.std
