Dear Colleagues,
I happened to open an STAAD file modeled using the previous version, but when opened in my CONNECT Edition 21.03.00.146, i noticed that ONE way loading diagram assigned to a set of beam's FLOOR group, diagram doesn't seem to match as planned (the visual representation); my concern is, if STAAD will apply as per the Loading diagram (or) as per the STAAD COMMAND LINE...Would really appreciate, if anyone can throw some light on the topic...
Thanks in advance,
Paul
Please upload the .std file.
Sure Sye, please find attached...
It is actually loading the members in the opposite direction for the floor group _ROOF_SOUTH_WEST when the TOWARDS option is used. I will have to refer this to our development desk. For now what you can do is, take out the TOWARDS 580 option by changing
_ROOF_SOUTH_WEST ONE -2.93 GY TOWARDS 580
to
_ROOF_SOUTH_WEST ONE -2.93 GY
and this would get the right beams loaded

thanks for the info, Sye.... I'll keep in mind to apply apply the floor loads on beams using the conventional approach - to play safe...
