Dear Sir/Madame,
I have performed a time history analysis (for instance by definition of cycle=100 and frequency=50Hz and a given amplitude) for which I could have amplitude-frequency graphs as well as amplitude-time graphs as the results. I am wondering how STAAD PRO could give me amplitude-frequency graphs (like the results of a steady state analysis for frequency of 0-50Hz) as the result of a time history analysis? Does the program perform a steady state analysis for all the frequencies between 0 and the given frequency of 50Hz, by default? I would appreciate it if anyone could clarify this issue for me.
Thank you for your attention,
Elnaz
See attached figure
You would have to carry out a Steady State Analysis in STAAD.Pro to get this kind of output.
Pls upload your data file, I am curious.
As I have mentioned, I have already the steady sate analyses results, but my loading in in time history format. It is the reason I am asking about the basis.
PS; I do not have access to the the option of STEADY STATE LOADING with respect to my licence.
Thank you for your clue. Could you clarify whether or not I can consider those results of frequency-amplitude coming from FFT method (based on time history analysis) as the real steady state analysis, as I dont have full licence of the software to perform a direct steady state analysis.
