i am getting an error when I run the data check on my structural system model. It is saying column was found without a support at a level. I can not figure out what is going on because the exact scenario adjacent to my error is working correctly. Can I send you the model to look at?
If it's a column on an upper story with nothing below it, then the program will assume a support. You can place a foundation at that column to avoid a warning in that case though. If it is intended to land on a beam below you can run it and check the beam for a point load to confirm if it's supported or not. Otherwise send the file.
I believe I have uploaded the file for you to look at
The file is called Building portion model and the data check indicates column 22 is the column in question.
It's just slightly off. The column is on the grid (A.6-11.7), while the beam below is a few inches off. It could be tricky to resolve since the three columns are not in a straight line. Try moving one or both grids so that column 22 is in line with 9 amd 10.
