When applying compression force only in a beam to column moment connection, RAM applies the complete compression force to the flange of the haunch only. Moreover, it considers the flange as a slender plate not welded to the web.
My question is:
1. Why does RAM applies all compression force to the haunch flange only? (My understanding is that it should be distributed equally by area method and both the beam and haunch will resist such a force)
2. Why does RAM considers the haunch as a single plate not attached to the web and the beam above?
I attach a copy of the model with some snap shots.

Complete Haunch design calculation provided by RAM connection needs to be corrected.Seth Guthrie Could you verify this as per AISC DG 12 procedure?
It seems demand calculation in RAM connection is incorrect.
AISC DG 12 example 6.3 gives how only area of haunch flange is effective considering strut action of haunch flange.
Bentley needs to look into it & take corrective action. #bug #error Seth Guthrie
I am aware of this option and Unchecking it means taking off the complete check which my question is based on.
I can see in your file you have checked the following option.
Can you please uncheck it and see if you are getting expected results?
