I am trying to import Plate results from STAAD. Would you please explain way to import plates results in user specified Units.
For example1:
My Base unit is "Metric"
i have created my STAAD file with "UNIT METER MTON" when i am extracting plate results in excel using open STAAD i get results in KN/m2 & KN-m/m.
Do we have any function similar to "SetInputUnitForLength", for setting output Unit in GUI, as per user requirement. This will help to extract results in desired unit to excel.

For extracting values, OpenSTAAD function works with the base unit setup. For metric, the units are kN and meter. This can not be changed using any OpenSTAAD function. What you can do, you can add a small program to convert the exported values in your desired unit system. You can create a module or sub-routine for this conversion, pass the extracted results and convert the values in desired unit system.
what are the units for english - kips & inch?
