I am analysing an RCC box girder for which some peculiar tapered sections have to be created. I created a tapered rectangular section in AutoCAD 2014. I used polyline to create the 2D and then extruded it to make it a solid 3D section. Now when I import this into section wizard, I get an error, "Import error". I tried saving the AutoCAD file in various formats of .dwg and .dxf but the same result. What is it that I am not doing right?
Here is your problem: As you said: I used polyline to create the 2D and then extruded it to make it a solid 3D section. Section wizard can not import 3D solid also if you made any drawing using polyline it will give you the popup error message when trying to import it from Staad pro. When using AutoCAD if you made your section drawing using polyline you need to explode them all before exporting the file or saving it as DXF file format. If you need to export a full model to staad pro you need to make it as wire frame (consisting of lines only) then in staad pro you assign the sections to each one of these lines.

When I go to the New Service Request on the CONNECT Centre page it says that access is denied. What can I do?
