Is it possible to have a line load on the deck directly, without having a beam modeled under the line load? Will the loads be distributed by the deck?
Yes its possible please check on this post Abhisek M has elaborated very well and its simple to understand

Floor loads in Staad or Area loads in Ram Elements are a mechanism to transfer loads to the surrounding beams. You can have a beam within the area that is not loaded, but the floor load patch always needs to be bound by a series of beams.
Is this possible in Staad.Pro? I'm trying to find out how to apply line/floor/area loads on a no beam line. Is a dummy beam a correct solution? Just for loading purposes only
Thanks Seth, Yes, I have done it.
Yes, you can do that in RAM Structural System. It looks like you already tried it, was there some problem?
