Answer for your Question yes Nodes Doesn't Have local Axis

RE: Getting value of Mx, My, Mz Zero (0) when I try to get reaction Forces in respective directions, For example If I on the Wind load on structure in Z direction then am getting Mz value '0' same for others as well like Mx and My.

Thank you For your reply I understand that, Reaction are given based on global Axis where as in the BEF in local Axis..

RE: Getting value of Mx, My, Mz Zero (0) when I try to get reaction Forces in respective directions, For example If I on the Wind load on structure in Z direction then am getting Mz value '0' same for others as well like Mx and My.
For example If I on the Wind load on structure in Z direction then am getting Mz value '0'
1) I do doubt why you get exactly zero .. may be it's pinned support, as Abhisek Mandal doubts.

But please note that when force is in Z direction, it's expected reaction will be in Mx. that is, moment about X, which is actually moment along Z, the direction of the application of the load.

2) Nodes does not have local axis (as far as I know)*, so the reaction is always in global axis.

Rahul Leslie

*nodes in STAAD have no local axes, only global axes: somebody correct me if I'm wrong. In ANSYS, the nodes do have local axis too, that can be suitably rotated.

RE: Getting value of Mx, My, Mz Zero (0) when I try to get reaction Forces in respective directions, For example If I on the Wind load on structure in Z direction then am getting Mz value '0' same for others as well like Mx and My.

1. I think you have used pinned support and hence getting all the moment in reaction as 0. If that is not the case, can you please upload the .std file here?

2. Global axis.
