Your image is not very clear to me, but Moment End Plate (MEP) beam splice apex connections are part of Ram Connection.

how do I make the beam stiffener a H or I section. The stiffening option is can see for MEP Apex are steel plates, but not structural steel members. Please help

Are you talking about the bottom, haunch portion of the section? That can be from a wide flange, WT etc:
Yes. I've managed to figure it out. Apparently, I'm supposed to choose the main beam members as 'Haunched' members rather than 'prismatic' members. This enables one to use the steel member option as a brace.
I also discovered that the option to design of the Apex haunch seems to only be for the American codes. How can I switch to the design with the British codes?
