WE HAVE ISSUE IN RCDC BEAMS. The RCDC ONLY RECOGNIZE SPANNING BETWEEN COLUMNS AS A MAIN BEAM BUT IF TWO BEAMS ARE CROSSING EACH OTHER AND WE WANT TO TREAT ONE BEAM AS MAIN BEAM AND OTHER AS SECONDARY BEAM THEN HOW CAN WE DO IT?

    Dear Sir,

     

    Kindly note that RCDC Identifies:

    1. All the column to column beams as identified as Primary Beams,
    2. Beams that are resting on Primary beams are secondary beams,
    3. All other beams are then considered as tertiary beams in RCDC.

     

    However, in the case mentioned by you , there is an option in RCDC to split such beams.

    This video was really informative, unfortunately when i try to split, the section property doesn't seem to get transferred. Please advise.
