Just to clarify, I'm not looking for beam lengths, but rather the ability to measure arbitrary distances like in the modeler. So if I wanted to see how far a beam was from a particular column, or confirm the resulting spacing on some generated infill beams, etc, I could simply click on 2 points and get the distance, like in the Modeler.

Well, that's the long-term plan, and once we have all the modules into this 3D view 'Container', then it will be much easier to add features that work in every mode.

Am I reading that correctly - you're updating steel beam to a 3D interface? That would certainly be welcome. How about Modeler, any hope of a 3D modeling interface?

1. This has been asked for more than a few times over the years. Enhancement 120395:RSS DT Enhancement 100 - Undo in modules.

2. Since the beam lengths are in the result reports, this does not come up that often. Our Steel Beam module is running an older graphics mode and it might requires us to update that to the 3D-view module style first, which is a project.
